New Zealand Grapeseed Extract
Grapeseed extract has a long history of use, and is currently widely used as an ingredient in cosmetics and food products. The chemical compound resveratrol, which is found in grapeseed extract, is known for its antioxidant activity and its antimutagenic activity. Reseveratrol stimulates the immune system and may be effective against herpes simplex virus 1 and 2.
What are the benefits of this for your skin?
- The concentrated Vitamin C found in grapeseed extract is useful for skin healing, preparing the skin for salon treatments, and for breaking down pigments in areas of the skin.
- Grapeseed extract is commonly used for preventing free radical damage and encouraging wound healing.
The grape seeds in New Zealand used to produce grapeseed extract for BeeBio skincare are generally obtained from wine manufacturers in the South Island of New Zealand. The leaves and fruit of the grape have been used medicinally since the times of ancient Greece.
